Position Overview
We are seeking a Founding GTM Engineer who will build the AI-native pipeline engine that feeds our entire Account Executive team. This is a high-leverage, full-stack role at the intersection of sales, marketing, RevOps, and engineering. You'll own the systems that turn ICP signals into qualified pipeline.
You will surface non-obvious buying signals, enrich data at scale, generate personalised first-touch outreach, and route the right opportunities to the right AEs at the right moment. Our market is regulated industries (pharma, medtech, food, cosmetics, and chemicals), where signals like regulatory filings, warning letters, and hiring patterns in regulatory affairs teams require programmatic detection to act on faster than any manual process can.
Responsibilities
- Signal Layer: Identify, ingest, and score buying signals across regulatory filings, news, social, hiring data, intent providers, and our own product usage.
- Enrichment Pipeline: Build the enrichment workflow layer with waterfall logic across Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism (for EU), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI-powered enrichment via Claude/GPT. Achieve 80%+ data coverage on our ICP.
- Outbound Engine: Build sequences in Gong Engage / Outreach / Smartlead / Instantly that combine high-volume reach with deep, signal-specific personalization. Manage deliverability infrastructure (domain warm-up, inbox rotation, DMARC/DKIM/SPF). Hit our reply-rate and meeting-booked benchmarks.
- Routing Layer: When a signal fires and a contact is enriched, the right AE gets a warm intro within minutes, not days. Build this with Zapier/n8n, Salesforce flows, and Slack notifications.
- Reporting Layer: Build pipeline-attribution dashboards that show what's working across signals, sequences, and AE conversion. Connect outbound activity to closed-won revenue.
- AI-Native Layer: Wherever a workflow can be replaced or augmented by an AI agent (Claude, GPT, custom-built), do it. We expect AI to be the default tool in your stack, not a novelty.
- CRM Architecture: Maintain Salesforce as our source of truth. Build the data model, automations, and reports that the GTM org runs on.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a GTM-adjacent technical role: RevOps, GTM Engineering, Growth Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Marketing Ops.
- Workflow-Layer Fluency: Hands-on experience with a GTM workflow tool as your primary build layer (Clay, nRev, SyncGTM, FullEnrich, Databar.ai, or equivalent). You can design waterfall enrichment across multiple data providers, build AI-enriched columns, make HTTP API calls, and stitch together custom integrations.
- CRM Depth: 3+ years hands-on in Salesforce or HubSpot, including flows, custom objects, complex reports, and APIs. Strong understanding of the GTM data model.
- Data and Scripting Fluency: Comfortable in SQL and proficient in Python or JavaScript for API calls, scraping, and data manipulation.
- Outbound Infrastructure Experience: Proven ownership of email deliverability, including domain warm-up, IP rotation, DMARC/DKIM/SPF, and bounce-rate management. Hands-on configuration experience with Gong Engage, Outreach, Smartlead, Instantly, or similar platforms at scale.
- Deep AI Fluency: You build with AI, not just use it. You have shipped automations or workflows where AI is a primary component, with the ability to prompt-engineer, evaluate output, and design systems that handle AI failure modes gracefully. Experience with agentic frameworks (Claude, OpenAI Responses API, n8n agents) is a plus.
- Commercial Thinking: You think like a salesperson and build like an engineer, measuring impact in pipeline and revenue rather than features shipped. Comfortable contributing to GTM leadership discussions and defending technical tradeoffs.
- Strong Written Communication: Able to document systems clearly and translate technical decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Direction: Comfortable operating without a playbook in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in B2B SaaS sold to enterprise, particularly in regulated industries (pharma, medtech, life sciences, financial services, food, or cosmetics).
- Prior experience as part of a founding GTM Engineering function or as the first technical hire on a GTM team.
- Active participation in GTM Engineering or RevOps communities (Clay community, RevOps Co-op, or similar).
- A portfolio of publicly shared work: AI workflows, GitHub repos, written breakdowns of GTM systems, or equivalent.
- Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery), BI tools (Looker, Hex), and event-driven systems.
What We Offer
- Impact: Your work compounds across the whole sales organisation. What you build today drives pipeline for the team every quarter going forward.
- Growth: First-seat ownership, cutting-edge AI, and a culture that invests in learning and career development.
- Culture: Diverse, agile, and mission-driven team across Canada, US, UK, EU, Singapore, Japan, and beyond.
